Overnight oats with chai poached pear

Serves 1:

30 g oats
150 ml (almond) milk
1/2 pear
1 tsp chai spices
1 tbsp walnuts
cacao nibs
1 tsp cinnamon


  1. Poach the pear: combine water and chai spices in a large pot and heat over medium heat and bring to a boil. Add the pear slices and reduce heat to medium low. Cook for 15 minutes until the pears are soft when pricked with a fork. Remove pears with a spoon and set aside.
  2. Add oats and (almond) milk to a bowl, stir to combine and let it rest overnight in the fridge.
  3. In the morning: add poached pears to the oats, garnish with walnuts and cacao nibs and sprinkle with cinnamon.
